At Home for the Holidays

One thing to know about me is that I love decorating for the Holidays. Truly one of my favorite times of year to spruce up the house is Christmas. I go all out in the living room with rich reds and holiday tartans, it’s like a Ralph Lauren magazine exploded its plaid pages onto my walls. This year I’ve finally gotten to live out my dream of having a tree in every room thanks to At Home stores who helped me do just that with their amazing Holiday section.

If you remember earlier this year, I worked with At Home stores on their Patio challenge as well as their in-store living room challenge! They’ve been such a fun partner to work with because I love perusing their aisles and mentally putting together different sets in my own house. They’re also great about putting together design set areas to give you some inspiration for particular rooms if you need a little help in that department.

For Christmas, they gave me full control of what I wanted to create so long as at least three rooms had a tree in it.

Easy.

I started with my living room using one of the 7-foot tall pre-lit trees and picked out as much southern, country rustic décor my heart could muster. I’ve always been obsessed with that Christmas truck that you see adorned on needlepoint pillows, so I was elated when I saw they had an entire section dedicated to the red truck. To fill up the tree, I used some beautiful cotton garland and cotton sprigs to add to the rustic feel.

For my Dining Room, I wanted to use a tall and skinny tree create a woodland scene complete with bottle brush animals, red berries, and a wreath with fruit on it to keep the natural elements in play. At Home once again had an amazing selection of winter wonderland creatures to choose from, and instead of the typical star on the top of the tree, I used a dove to crown the tree.

Finally, for my Bedroom, I went with a plaid filled, rustic tree. I love this Country Pre-Lit Tree that came with its own rustic farm tree stand. The tree itself has really natural looking bristles that barely needed ornamenting, so I went light on the ornaments and added a few white, black, and twig ornaments throughout.

At Home made it extremely easy for me to create a theme for each room and it makes me extremely happy every day to walk into each room and see every corner brimming with Holiday cheer.

At Home has also graciously offered to co-host a giveaway with you guys over on Instagram! Be sure to follow along because this week we’ll be giving away a gift card valued at $250 for one of you lucky readers!

I’m sharing more photos of each room in these posts.
