Classic Cognac Loafers

For me, it’s the details on something that pushes the urge from a passive “want” to definite “need”. I have been looking for a pair of comfortable loafers to loaf around in on quick errands and travel, so when I saw these beautiful basket weave detailed loafers from French Sole, I knew I had to snatch them up.

Besides the lovely basket weave detail of these loafers, the transitional cognac color was a definite deal sealer for me. The color definitely makes them an evergreen style piece since cognac is one of those all-season leather colors.

In my search for a pair of classic loafers I had a few requirements:

  • couldn’t make my foot look like a ski
  • had to be comfortable
  • must be a classic, feminine silhouette

These French Sole NY loafers captured all of these necessities, the comfort thing I can only truly attest to today as I’m laying legs spread out on the couch after a very long day working on a project for Darling Eats. I wore these loafers all day and for the most part felt like I was barefoot all day. No pinching, no scraping. The leather already feels broken in and this is only the third time I’ve fully committed to wearing them.

Paired with a pair of white jeans, a flowy blouse, and a navy handbag, these loafers made this the perfect outfit for an afternoon of errands and is exactly what I’m wearing on my trip to PDX tomorrow. Not to mention they’re extremely comfortable and easy to slip off subtly while on the plane.
