The Coolest Sheets in Town

I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #HygroCotton campaign, sponsored by Welspun. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

Lately, I had been finding it hard to fall asleep. My mind was a mess with equations and sentence correction as I prepared to take my graduate exam and it left me tossing and turning at night, trying to find just the right position to fall asleep in. None of the positions would feel quite right until I flipped my pillow over and was welcomed by that familiar feeling of cool cotton brushing up against my cheek. What is it about that feeling of the cool side of a pillow at night that is so welcoming as you’re falling asleep? It’s like the ‘refresh’ button for your sleep patterns and I swear it’s all in the cotton.

Something you may not be entirely aware of while shopping for sheets is that not all sheets are created equal. By that I mean there are thousands of different combinations of weave, fiber, thread count, color, etc, it’s often overwhelming to know what to choose. I typically look for a type of sheet that will keep me cool at night because I tend to overheat if my sheets don’t breathe, plus I like it a little on the cooler side when I’m falling asleep. Something about a warm body under cool sheets makes for an enjoyable way to fall asleep. After my last sheet purchase I wasn’t entirely happy with how the sheets felt after I washed them, so I started looking for other sheets and that’s how I found these Welspun HygroCotton® sheets.

I’m a firm believer in the saying invest more money towards the things that touch your skin versus the ones that don’t; IE invest your money in sheets rather than curtains. However, the great thing about these sheets is you won’t be paying a fortune to get luxurious sheets. I love the sateen feel to the sheets- they’re silky and smooth and when you slide into them at the end of the day, your stress is wiped away and the familiar feeling of the other side of the pillow welcomes you and all but tucks you in before you’re fast asleep at night.

The single hand greatest thing about these sheets is that the more you wash them, the softer they become which is a welcome alternative to some of the sheets I spent quadruple on that after one wash, felt itchy and scratchy against my skin. If you are looking for a touch of cool luxury to add to your bedding collection, you can find HygroCotton® bed sheets at Macy’s, Bed Bath and Beyond, Costco, Kohls, J.C. Penney, Walmart, Kmart and Sears. HygroCotton® is available in many different brands so you won’t find “HygroCotton®” written as the brand packaging, so keep your eyes peeled for the word when deciding between thread count and color!

These sheets have definitely made falling asleep easier and more enjoyable. I am looking forward to seeing how they keep me warm in the winter months as well.

If you want to try out the luxuriousness of these sheets yourself HygroCotton® has shared a sweepstakes with you and you can enter by filling out the widget below! Good luck!
