As I mentioned in this post, the renovation forced us out of our house so before we left for France, we were in a frenzy to find a place to live. I haven’t lived in a traditional apartment for 3 years and while I was nervous at first of the prospects, I grew immensely excited when I stepped into The Ashley Gables Buckhead. Two words: exceptional amenities!
It’s funny to think that the thing I miss the most about living in a condo in Midtown is the sound of lawn mowers and the having access to a pool. I haven’t lived in an apartment with a pool for probably 5 years and when I walked out onto the amenity deck of The Ashley, I knew immediately where we would be moving during our renovation.
I feel like since I left Buckhead a few years ago (and even with my frequent trips to my favorite nail salon), I never really got a true feeling for the town itself. I always considered it a “driving town” and “too suburban” but really, it’s more like Midtown than I realized.
If you’re looking for a luxury living space that has tons of places to walk to, you don’t need to look any further than The Ashley Gables Buckhead. When you first walk into the reception area, the concierge greets you with a signature cocktail and you can wait in the two-story Library Lounge until someone takes you on a tour.
The incredible Library Lounge has a host of old books that range from impressionist painters, Hemmingway, and a 1960’s James Beard cookbook that I will absolutely be cooking from while we live here. There is a little coffee nook where you can help yourself to Starbucks coffees, chai tea lattes, and teas of all varieties and if you have a cat or dog, feel free to grab your pet a treat from one of the pet treat jars.
Upstairs, there is a commercial quality private theatre where you can binge watch your favorite TV show (like Stranger Things) and reserve it for a private movie night for you and your friends.
We haven’t even left floor two yet and you can see why I immediately fell in love with the place.
The amenity deck is unbelievable. Not only is there a full gym complete with cardio machines, TRX training ropes, Pelotons, and a yoga area, but they will have a personal trainer on staff to help you meet your fitness goals. Leading out of the gym is the lounge, a swanky sports bar-esque setting with a shuffleboard table, plenty of fridges and TVs so you can catch whatever sports tournament is on that evening.
We had our friends over recently for a cookout and it was fun to be able to let the guys watch the golf tournament while the girls hung out in one of the private cabanas at the pool deck.

Moving in was a breeze (thanks to our moving tips!) and living here for a week has been nothing short of incredible. If this community had a butler, I would be sure I was living in a 5-star hotel.

Ha, it’s sort of a joke because you have to drive everywhere unlike Midtown where you can walk everywhere and it’s a closer-knit neighborhood. It’s definitely one of Atlanta’s premier upscale city areas! I just never had personal experience living in this area, it was always some place I drove through.
