I feel like Atlanta has skipped Spring and jumped straight into Summer. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving the 80-degree temperature but I think we skipped all the lovely 70’s way too quickly!
Whenever the seasons change I inevitably feel the need to purge my closet and start anew. One thing that’s been on my mind lately is investing in a lightweight blush jacket for the chilly Spring mornings. Luckily, North Georgia Outlets invited me up to take a look at their new Spring collections at the stores and I couldn’t have said yes fast enough!
Since I’ve lived in Atlanta (East Cobb) all of my life, I’m very familiar with shopping at the North Georgia Outlets. My mom, sister and I would make a day of it and be given some money to go spend on clothes once a month where I would usually buy one really nice piece and slowly build a wardrobe whereas my sister would buy a lot of things (luckily I got to raid her closet from time to time so this worked out to my advantage). It was always a fun treat to get to go to the outlets and it’s something I look forward to every year to snatch up some incredible deals! My favorite stores to shop at in the Outlets include the Coach Outlet, Brooks Brothers, Kate Spade, Burberry and the Pottery Barn Outlet and each had great tips for navigating Spring trends on a budget.
Coach: Coach was really highlighting laser cut leather and warm pastels for Spring. I particularly fell in love with this stunning blush trench coat and their white laser cut satchel! The best thing about shopping at the outlets: the two pieces were over $300 off their original price tag! The Trench itself was $140, and I’m kicking myself for not getting it.
Kate Spade: Kate Spade is one of my favorite places to shop for punchy statement bags and unique accessories, and this particular day their Outlet store was having a 30% off lowest price sale. I got a new wallet for $140 off and lusted after all the lovely floral bags. One of the associates even showed us different ways to wear a scarf. One of the ways was to turn it into a vest and it was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. I found a Pinterest tutorial for you here, and I am definitely going to be doing this for the summer!
Le Creuset: If you remember this post, you know I LOVE my dutch oven from Le Creuset. While a lot of people think that outlet quality is less than retail quality I have to let you in on a little secret about Le Creuset’s outlet goods: they only have minor cosmetic flaws that make them “unsellable” at retail value. What are minor cosmetic flaws? Have you ever felt the grit that gets left behind on ceramic pottery? The Le Creuset pots have maybe one piece of grit that didn’t get filed down or a small bubble in the paint that is basically undetectable, but you get the pieces for over 60% off! They had the most amazing Mint color that if I were a bachelorette living in some crazy one bedroom studio with exposed shelves, would definitely find themselves into my pantry even just to look at.
The North Georgia Outlets are a great place to go explore for an afternoon of shopping, it attracts a lot of tourists every year from all over the world (Asian countries being particularly fond of our great deals and beautiful mountain views). It’s always been a favorite place of mine to shop at for great deals and I love that I can find all my favorite stores in one place – but that also makes it incredibly dangerous for my wallet.
