Every day it seems like a new smart home feature is being kicked around on the internet promoting a new solution to make your life easier by integrating your home to smartphone technology. Some you may be familiar with and even use smart technology your own home like the Nest thermostat and wireless speakers but very seldom do we find houses that are equipped and move in ready with smart home features without a hefty price tag associated. Pulte Smart Home is challenging the status Smart Home quo by integrating smart technology in all of their homes, we got a tour last week to see just what smart features are being incorporated into their new houses and the smart features are more than just technology related.
As soon as you walk into one of the Pulte Smart Homes the entryway leads into an intentionally open floor plan that leads right into the kitchen on this model. The kitchen itself is jaw-dropping and ready to be fitted to your kitchen use goals, like being a functional entertaining area or a chef inspired kitchen with plenty of storage space for your cooking tools and gadgets.
In our tour with the Pulte Team, we were welcomed into the entertaining kitchen with chef Tregaye Fraser who was making some black bean burgers and sweet potato fries for lunch. In this video, I shared some of her tips for creating your black bean burger but what was great, was while she was busy using her hands to cook, she could direct Alexa (or Google Home) to adjust the lighting or temperature in the kitchen if things start to heat up.
When lunch was over (those black bean burgers will be making an appearance in a recipe post later this month), the Pulte Team took us on a tour of the home to showcase more of the smart features and smart design elements. One of my favorite features was that each floor had its own wi-fi amplifier so that you’ll never be out of range anywhere in your home. Another great feature that with Alexa in every room, you can tell her to turn the lights on for you.
In every Pulte Smart Home, you have the option to upgrade some features to make accessing your house easier and safer. Some of the upgrades include Nest Thermostats for remote temperature control, remote front door locks, remote garage door openers, and voice control integration through Alexa or Google Home. Plus they’ll set it up for you before you move in. You can read more about their upgrade features here.
When you think of the future of homebuilding, smart technology is no longer a “nice to have”-it’s a necessity and Pulte is making it easy to integrate your life into the future with their new homes. I mean, if they can give me a kitchen like this and provide high-tech upgrades, I know exactly who I’ll be making a future home purchase with in the future!
