Summer Patio Refresh with At Home Stores

I think my love of patios began when I was in late Elementary School. Every day when I came home, I would make a peanut butter sandwich, pour a tall glass of whole milk, grab whatever iteration of Harry Potter I was reading, and sit on the back patio reading until the sun went down or dinner was served, whichever came first. Now that I’m older I’m gravitating to homemade cheese straws and g&t’s with my copy of Fountainhead on the patio, but the tradition is still much the same: read outside in nice weather until the sun goes down.

I don’t have a patio space of my own at my apartment, but my boyfriend had a vacant space for me to decorate when At Home reached out to me about working with them. If you recall, I worked with them on their in-store Shanty2Chic collection here, so afterward I spent the afternoon shopping for my outdoor patio furniture.

If you haven’t been to an At Home store, you have to make a trip in. It’s thousands upon thousands of square feet of well-priced home furniture and decor with room decor ideas that range from whimsical (like the garden scene I shared on Instagram stories) to modern (like the room I decorated for display here).

There was no shortage of inspiration for our patio refresh, I knew I wanted this patio set but I wanted a softer cushion color. At Home has a giant selection of patio cushions that are interchangeable with all of their patio sets. I had to restrain myself from purchasing the stripe variations because I knew I wanted to add pops of color and pattern with my pillows.

When it came to my patio, I had three requirements: comfy atmosphere, rose gold accents, and bistro lights. There were a couple of things I could reuse on my boyfriend’s patio that just needed some love, like the lantern and the bar cart, but everything else came from At Home. My garden cart/ bar cart is my favorite addition. We have space for fresh herbs and space to slice some limes for happy hour.

We’ve had this furniture set set up for a couple of weeks now and we’ve thoroughly gotten the use out of it already. From patio pizzas to the regular happy hour, if the weather is good, you can find us lounging on our At Home patio set every night.

Thank you At Home for sponsoring this post. Although some of these items may have been gifted to me, all opinions expressed are my own and we only work with brands that we fully support. Thank you for supporting the brands that help keep Darling Down South running to bring you great content!
