Holiday Entertaining with Meiomi and Modelo

When we have guests over, there are a few things you can always count on from me: an epic cheese board and crowd-pleasing beverages. This holiday season, we’re breaking in our new kitchen and hosting as much as possible—which means I’m stocking up on two of my favorite crowd-pleasing drinks to serve: Meiomi Pinot Noir and Modelo Especial Beer. Both of these drinks are easy to drink and stylish to serve. I’m going to share how to make a cheeseboard that highlights both the beer lover’s and the wine lover’s palette!

One of my favorite pastimes is going to the grocery store, and this trip to my local grocer to pick up items for our first Holiday party in the new kitchen is no exception. I scooped up a few of my favorite cheeses—agreeable goat, funky soft white, Parmesan and soft spreadable cheese—and the necessary accouterments.

Since I know I’m serving Meiomi Pinot Noir, I wanted to pick up other accouterments that highlight the lovely cherry flavors of Pinot Noir, like cherry preserves, Marcona almonds, and peppery crackers.

For the beer drinkers, I always turn to a lager—and none is a better crowd-pleaser than Modelo. The 12-ounce glass bottles are also super stylish to serve at your holiday party.

To create a holiday cheeseboard that highlights both a lager and Meiomi pinot noir, I made sure to pick out a few notes in the Pinot Noir to work with, like cherry, and then added some contrasting flavors, like peppery crackers and rosemary Marcona almonds. To complement the Modelo Especial, I paired it with some goat cheese covered in honey, hazelnuts, and persimmons.
