A couple of weeks ago we headed down South to St. Simon’s Island for a little R&R. We stayed at the beautiful King & Prince resort with its lovely oceanside views and spectacular pool.
The first day we arrived, we were greeted with sunshine and a spring ocean breeze that made for some very wind blown hair.
Before our trip, I had been stocking up on beach resort style clothing for months, so I couldn’t wait to wear my new Duffield Lane dress to dinner the first night we were there.

While I love going to the beach and lounging in the sun all day (my family affectionately calls me a lizard because of my love for being warm and in the sun all the time), I hate the effects the sun has on my skin. I always go to the beach with some sort of tan, and as of late my favorite Spray Tan in Atlanta has been my friend Erin Hecht of Coco Bella Spray Tanning. Not only does she use an organic based tan solution, but the color develops so fast, dries almost immediately, looks incredibly natural and she can come TO YOUR HOUSE to spray tan you! No awkward car rides home from the tanning salon covered in sticky solution. It’s the best spray tan ever, and I will be seeing her all summer to help me get a healthy sun kissed glow!

When traveling to the beach it’s inevitable that I always overpack. I find myself changing at least twice per day for the beach: once for the morning and then again in the evening. I wish I could be one of those prepared packers, but I’m not. I just make wise decisions about the items I am going to bring to make sure they don’t take up too much room in my duffle bag. This dress from Duffield Lane is perfect for that. It’s a light cotton t-shirt material so it’s easy to roll up and stow away and doesn’t wrinkle. Plus, it’s soft material is soothing after a day in the sun.
I’ve also been obsessed with these Alison Cole Designs bracelets I received a couple of weeks ago! The owner was also so generous to host a giveaway for an item of your choosing! I have this one, this one, and this one. This one is my favorite of the three and I wear it almost every day. All you have to do is enter the rafflecopter below!
Good luck!
