I always love a refreshing gin cocktail for the summer. To me, there is no more perfect cocktail than a gin and tonic. It’s tart and refreshing. I’m all about using seasonal ingredients that highlight the flavors I love. This gin grapefruit gimlet is an easy summertime sipper and looks incredibly flashy when served in a coupe glass.
This recipe is one of those simple yet elegant takes on two classics: a gimlet and a gin and tonic. Both of which highlight lime in the recipe, making it incredibly easy for them to work together.
My preferred gin for this drink is Sipsmith. I’ve been a fan of theirs since I discovered them two years ago because it truly is the most sippable gin. It’s just a classically good gin and one that I swear could make any gin hater a gin believer.
For this cocktail, all you need to do is add all of the ingredients together (except the tonic water) and shake until well combined. Pour into a cocktail glass and top with tonic water. I like using Canada dry sugar-free tonic water.
