Lilac Pleated Skirt Two Ways

Whenever I buy a piece of clothing, I have to make sure that it’s going to serve me in multiple ways. While I worked in the corporate world, I always made sure that whatever blazer/ blouse/ dress/ etc could carry over into another part of my life and now that I’m working for myself, I apply that rule to my work/casual wardrobe. It doesn’t hurt that it’s fun and season neutral lilac skirt to go from formal to fun with a few accessory changes.

One thing that I’ve always tried to shy away from is fast fashion in my life and definitely with you here on the blog. I have always wanted to make one piece of clothing work for you in multiple ways. In fact, depending on how long you’ve been following along here, this blog originally started as a thrift-store re-style blog since I loved (and still do love) shopping at thrift stores for my clothes.

But that’s another story. Today, we’re focusing on this Lilac skirt worn two ways.

Pleated skirts are probably my favorite wardrobe staple right now, this Lilac colored one rising towards the front of my favorite wardrobe pieces.

I’ve worn it a ton of different ways, but my favorite has to be with this crop sweater and this flutter sleeve top and sneakers.
