What To Get Mom for Mother’s Day

Mother’s day is quickly looming right around the corner and if you haven’t picked up something for the leading lady in your life who’s a mom, you still have time to pick up something sweet and sentimental for mom! Below is a list of things that I think any Mom would love with gifts that keep on giving plus six ways to elevate each gift to make it unique and something mom will treasure for years to come!

ONE || TWO || THREE || FOUR || FIVE || SIX

ONE – Very Vera Stewart’s New Cookbook “Recipes From My Table”:

I mentioned to y’all that I got the opportunity to meet Vera Stewart of Very Vera in Augusta in this coconut cake post and she was as delightful in person as you would imagine. I loved how her spirit equally matched how she designed her cookbook. The images in this book are photographed by Peter Frank Edwards, who has contributed to Garden & Gun, so while this is a cookbook, the recipes and food styling are so beautifully done it very well could be a coffee table book! If your mom likes to cook and make dessert, this is a great book for you to get her for Mother’s Day. Elevate this gift by offering to make a recipe with your mom! Go for one of Vera’s cakes, she even teaches you how she frosts them in her signature swirl!

TWO – Neely & Chloe’s Iconic Mini Lady Bag

Treat Mom with something that is a little luxurious with a (most likely) new to her designer, Neely & Chloe. I’ve talked about how much I loved them over here and with the Mini Lady Bag’s effortless style and chic silhouettes, it’s a bag Mom will be able to carry for decades and with any outfit. Plus, chances are, if she takes care of it right, you may just be able to get it as a hand me down when she’s loved it for long enough. Make this a more interactive present and fill the purse with tickets to something Mom might enjoy, like the new Rom-Com that’s coming out or a Garden Tour at the botanical garden in your city.

Three – Salvatore Ferragamo Silk Scarf:

For the stylish mom, this scarf would be a beautiful present to get her so she can wrap her hair up on a flight across the pond or tie it around her neck for a jaunt down the street. Ferragamo is known for making products that withstand time with their poppy prints and hand woven silk threads. This unique Cuban print will surely bring a smile onto Mom’s face -chances are she drove one of those Cadillac’s in the 60’s too so it’ll act as a bit of nostalgia also! Enhance this present by wrapping some luxury chocolate inside as a sweet filling!

Four – A Gardening Hat:

If your mom likes to Garden, this is the perfect hat to go from garden to street style. It packs really well in a suitcase and is embedded with SPF to keep your mom extra protected from the sun. Elevate this gift by stuffing some garden supplies in the head of the hat like gardening gloves, gardening tools, and cute garden markers

Five – Polarized 24K Gold Sunglasses from Krewe:

I have long been a fan of Krewe Sunglasses so when they had their popup in Atlanta recently I zipped over to their Tiny House to try on a pair which inevitably caused me to bring a pair home. These sunglasses are durable and high quality while being infused with style and (in this case) 24K gold for an added touch of luxury. Your mom will appreciate the uniqueness of these sunglasses! Elevate this gift by including an outdoor activity with it so she can make use out of the glasses, like bike riding or a picnic in the park.

Six – A Bread Machine:

This Bread Machine was hands down the best gift my sister and I ever got for our mom for Mother’s day and it was truly the gift that kept on giving. She was so excited to use her Bread Machine, we had bread with every meal, and the great thing about it was how low maintenance it was! You just set it and forget it! For the Mom who loves to make a homemade meal, this is a fantastic cooking tool to buy her but don’t forget the Bread Mixes for the machine! As an added gift, offer to make mom the innaugural loaf of bread for dinner one day, after all the best gift mom could ever get is your time!
