Atlanta is absolutely blooming gorgeous right now. Although this was one of the coldest winters I can recall, it was all worth it now that the flowers are in full bloom like this rose trellis I spotted on one of my nightly walks. I knew I had to come back when the light was just right for a couple of photos to show off my new Sezane skirt.

If you are as obsessed with effortless French style like I am, you will love Sezane. Although this brand is not new to me, it is new to my closet. I have never purchased a Sezane piece until they launched a collection at Nordstrom recently. Sezane is wildly popular (and they even have a beautiful shop that I will be stopping at next time I’m in NYC) and that popularity causes them to sell out almost immediately as soon as new collections are released.
It was serendipity when I found them online at Nordstrom the other day. I quickly picked up this Sezane Arizona Floral & Metallic Silk Blend Skirt and this Levi Crochet Cuff Tee to pair with it. As soon as the pieces came in it was love at first sight. And as soon as I saw this rose trellis was blooming, I knew that I had to combine the ethereal background with this airy skirt.

I have a couple of other pieces from her collection at Nordstrom (which I will be sharing over the next couple of days), but this yellow skirt has to be my favorite. The metallic gold silk is so delicately woven in, it created the most beautiful shimmer in the evening light. I love this white crochet top almost just as much, it is perfectly dressy but still casual. A great combination for those of us (me) who don’t like to (and also don’t know how to) be completely casual (read a baseball tee and cut-offs).
I do have to advise to order one size up with Sezane clothing. Since it’s French, it doesn’t really fit the same on the American body quite like it does the slender French women. I foolishly ordered a size two (my typical skirt size) when I really should have gotten a size four. I suppose that means fewer macarons and glasses of wine this summer, oh well! As they say, if the skirt fits! 😉
P.S. The new Sezane Summer Collection just launched and I am LOVING all of their pieces. See below for some that will be making their way to my closet come Summer 2018.
