Everyone seems to be wildly obsessed with sugared cranberries.
Everytime I get on Pinterest, there is a new person pinning “HOW TO MAKE THIS SEASONS MOST POPULAR SUGARED CRANBERRY” or something of the sort.
But what about sugaring other thing that don’t typically get to see sugar, like rosemary?
Probably your first thought.
Well, one, it’s pretty, two, it’s extremely simple (seriously took 5 minutes), and, three, it’s a delicious accent to your Holiday Signature Cocktail!
Sugared Rosemary Sprigs Recipe
For this recipe you will need:
1 cup plus 1/2 cup of sugar separated
1 cup of filtered water
Whole Rosemary Sprigs
Step One: combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan on the stovetop and bring to a boil. Stirring occasionally, be sure to stir the concoction until the sugar is dissolved. You just made simple syrup, so simple, right? Remove from heat once dissolved.
Step Two: Lightly dunk the rosemary sprigs in the simple syrup so each sprig is thoroughly coated. Place on a wire drying rack to let the excess drain.
Step Three: Before the coated rosemary sprigs are completely dry, roll lightly in the remaining 1/2 cup sugar to create a sugared coating. Place back on the drying rack to completely cool before you use.
My favorite thing about this recipe is how simple it is. In 5 minutes, you will be able to create beautiful additions for your Holiday Cocktail.

Lovely idea. I want to use the sugared rosemary on my Christmas cake. Would I be able to freeze the sprig’s once I’ve coated them in the syrup?
I wouldn’t recommend it as when you freeze fresh herbs, they tend to turn brown.
Maybe do a test run before you decide to freeze all of them!
