How to Host a Brunch Party for Spring

Breakfast is definitely my all-time favorite food so when the flowers started to bloom on our patio and the days grew warmer, I knew I had to celebrate the proper way with a ton of my favorite brunch foods and garden-inspired cocktails. Easily the best thing about this brunch party was dressing in some pretty pastel colors and truly diving into the Spring spirit. Whether you’re celebrating Easter, Passover or Spring herself, hopefully, these tips will teach you how to host a Spring Brunch party of your own.

How to Set the Table for a Spring Brunch Party

We don’t have a traditional table on our patio yet, so we opted to serve our brunch foods buffet style which means we needed to have dishes that worked for a crowd and eating with minimal flatware. If you are having your brunch party outside, opt for melamine plate ware, like these, and shatterproof glasses to avoid any injury opportunities if someone were to break a dish. I like breaking out my linen napkins for group entertaining. These linen cocktail napkins and these floral napkins are great for sopping up spills and drips.

How to Style your space for a Spring Brunch Party

Keep it cozy and comfortable! We love these woven pillows and plush throws for our outdoor patio set. They aren’t weatherproof so we always make a point to bring them inside and store them until our next event. Add some ambiance with some candles, these happen to be from Yankee Candle’s Spring Brunch collection and they are heavenly! Never underestimate the value of a sturdy tray to serve drinks with! I am obsessed with this rattan tray and have been using it at least twice a week since I bought it a while ago.

We’ve created a shopping guide below with links to all of the items we used on our Spring Brunch patio set up.

What Should You serve for a Spring Brunch Party

Keep it light and fresh! Take inspiration from the fresh items that are cropping up in grocery stores. We love using citrus, fresh herbs, rhubarb, and eggs this time of year. Here are a few of our tried and true favorites for brunch.

Upscale Deviled Eggs

Butternut Squash and Spinach Veggie Quiche

Orange Vanilla Upside Down Cake

Cantaloupe Mozzarella and Prosciutto Salad

Waffles with Peach Vanilla Preserves

Heavenly Buttermilk Biscuits

Chocolate Easter Candy Bark

What drinks should you serve for a Spring Brunch Party

For Brunch regardless of the time of year, we always have bubbles and rosé on hand. Mimosas, tonics, rosé and coffee is always a good idea for brunch themed gatherings. Just make sure that your coffee and cocktails are ready when guests arrive. Plan to have a drink station where people can create their own cocktail mix and use a galvanized tub filled with ice to keep your wine’s chilled.

How to make a Spring Flower Arrangement

It wouldn’t be spring without the blooms that pop up around the city and I love finding new flowers at the grocery store to make arrangements with. You don’t have to be a professional to make a beautiful display, find our post here with tips on how to make an arrangement at home or use individual bud vases on the table to act as a floral runner.

We hope this inspires your next Spring gathering! Click on the items below to shop them directly!
