At Home for the Holidays: Dining Room

One of my bucket list items this year was to decorate a tree for every room and with At Home Stores I was able to create the perfect dining room tree complete with bottlebrush woodland creatures and some fruit inspired ornaments. The dining room tree really helped this tablescape pop!

This post is a part of a series where I’m showing you each room decorated for Christmas. To see the full compilation, click here.

My style for Christmas is very traditional: I like green pre-lit trees with white lights and I love the red, white, and green color palette for the occasion. I may mix up the theme every once and a while, like with my Southern country tree here and my rustic country tree here, but overall, they all have the same color aesthetic.

I have always loved plaid and channel the rich colors of vintage Ralph Lauren collections whenever I can and if my landlord would let me, I’d probably paint an entire room dark navy and hang up some vintage photos of polo field matches. Maybe one day!

But today, I channel that style aesthetic into my Christmas trees. At At Home Stores I found this beautiful gold magnolia leaf garland and these glittered clip on poinsettias which helped add some glitter and glitz to the rich plaid patterns I had planned for this room. However, once I saw the adorable bottlebrush animals, I knew that this tree would be turning into a woodland creature themed tree.

In lieu of a traditional tree topper, I went with a single white dove, or you could even call it a partridge, to add to the animal theme. With the help of some beautiful plaid tabletop pieces, the whole room is ready for Christmas and the Holiday season!

I’m sharing more photos of each room in these posts.
