Single-handedly the best thing about the Holidays are all of the festive parties (to attend or host), spending all day cooking dinner for Christmas Eve and Christmas, and especially winding down with a good Skinny Christmas Gin Fizz at the end of the day, nuzzled around your Family by the fireplace.
The Holidays are already stuffed with calorie ladden foods like cookies, honey hams, and the three pounds of candy that somehow find their way into your stocking every Christmas morning (I’m onto you, Santa), so I try to balance out that amount of sweetness with a calorie free (ish) cocktail for my family to sip on.
Which is why I love using flavored sparkling water for mixers, as noted in this post from summer. The Dasani Sparkling Water is naturally flavored with fruit, it’s unsweetened (so no scary aspartame in it), and it is calorie and caffeine free, which makes it the perfect mixer for any sort of Spirit to brighten your Holiday Spirits!
You’re definitely going to want to whip this drink up for your guests: It’s quite the show stopper and looks like a snow globe has come to life!
A perfect sparkling drink to go with your sparkling Holidays!
Skinny Christmas Gin Fizz Recipe
For this recipe you will need:
1.5 fl ounces of Gin
1 teaspoon simple syrup
1/2 can of Lime or Black Cherry Dasani Sparkling Water
1 Handful of cranberries
1 Sprig of Sugared Rosemary
1 cup of Crushed Ice
Combine all wet ingredients (and ice) in a pretty glass (we got these from West Elm, and I just love them! They also come in a short version, here) and give it a good stir with a stir stick. Plop the cranberries on top, add a sprig of Sugared Rosemary to garnish, and a festive red and white straw to finish.
Serve immediately.
While I was making this Holiday drink I couldn’t help think about the drinks we made in college at one of my sorority sisters annual tacky sweater party! I went to Walmart to go pick up the Dasani sparkling waters (they also come in berry and lemon), and was transported back in time roaming the aisles with my sisters picking up sugar-free diet sodas and fruit juice to mix our drinks with at the party.
Ah, memories of a post-grad sorority girl.
If creating cocktails from scratch isn’t your thing, you can always check out this pinterest board for inspiration! There are so many festive options available, I especially love this one. Nothing beats a mojito, especially a skinny version!
I will be making this drink a-gin and a-gin you can count on that! Dare I say this drink is North Pole approved? I might be leaving this drink by the fireplace on Christmas Eve for Santa. He’s making spirits bright after all!
When you recreate this drink, tag me in it on instagram! I would love to see how yours turned out!

Audrey, you probably can switch this out for vodka or a light colored rum too!
This recipe sounds so good! We’re having friends in for a Christmas party this weekend so I may have to try this out! Thanks for the inspiration!
