As I sit here with the space heater turned up to ten it comes as no surprise to tell you that I like being warm. One thing I find that happens on every trip we take on an airplane is that my feet get extremely cold and I typically over layer on the plane to combat the chill that you experience at 30,000 feet in the air. We’re heading to Park City Utah next week for some skiing so I thought it would be helpful to share this outfit from Brooks Brothers that has been a travel lifesaver on our last few trips and it’s kept me warm and cozy throughout the flight.
Most of the time when I travel, I try to wear the bulkiest items I plan on bringing on the plane. Sometimes that means wearing a thick wool jacket and knee-high boots, which inevitably cause me to set off the security screening device but not with this outfit.
At first, when I ordered this Puffer jacket, I didn’t think I would like it. I thought that it may be too bulky or stiff but was completely wrong as soon as I threw it on. Unlike some of my other puffy jackets, this one is extremely warm and extremely easy to move around in. I love that it’s reversible as well. It’s a great feature to be able to have two jackets in one!
Also, if you love a casual sneaker but hate the lack of support you get with them, let me introduce you to Vionic shoes! The marketing really is true: these are the most comfortable casual sneakers I’ve ever worn. I’ve got them in white and blush and have worn them both endlessly for the last two months. They might not make it to our trip out west but they’ll definitely be coming with us on our warm weather adventures!
