When we recently visited Savannah, I was trusted with booking our hotel and of course when I read that the Perry Lane Hotel opened two weeks prior to us visiting, I knew I had to get us a room there just so I could visit their swanky new rooftop bar in Savannah, the Peregrin, whenever I wanted. Noting the retro vibes of the rooftop hotel, I used it as an opportunity to dress in this retro Trina Turk Dress for one of our happy hours up there before dinner.

When you’re on vacation it’s always fun to dress to the theme of the city you’re visiting. Especially as a “recovering sorority girl” I love anything that tips it’s hat to the preppy side of things with bright poppy prints and fringe tassels and when you combine those elements with a retro rooftop bar in Savannah.
Although that weekend had reached almost 105 degrees F, the bar was packed wall to wall with locals and tourists enjoying a cool cocktail on that hot evening. The punchy yellow tufted seats are accented by the gray and white tiled floor and mid-century modern lounge chairs wait to be sat in. In the center of the cocktail bar, there is a lemon tree and a green space towards the back of the bar with a 180-degree view of downtown Historic Savannah.
The entire rooftop is brimming with retro charm and it was fun to play into that theme with this Trina Turk Dress. Sometimes you just gotta dress the part and spoil yourself for vacation (plus it has pockets!)
